Built in the late 1800s, 2035 Dauphine Street sits in the heart of the historic Faubourg Marigny, one of New Orleans’ oldest and most distinctive neighborhoods. The story of the Marigny began in the early 1800s, when Bernard de Marigny divided his family plantation into smaller lots as the city began spreading downriver beyond the French Quarter. Over the decades, the neighborhood grew into an eclectic mix of modest Creole cottages, colorful Victorian homes, and the shotgun houses that would become such a familiar part of the New Orleans streetscape. More than a century later, 2035 Dauphine remains part of that story, a simple reminder of the generations of people, homes, and cultures that have given the Marigny its unmistakable character.
